KEYHOLE VARICOSE VEIN SURGERY

Varicose vein surgery often involves a groin incision in addition to the stripping of the long saphenous vein (LSV). Both can be a cause of considerable discomfort and pain to patients, and bruising and numbness can take several weeks to subside. A new technique, VNUS closure (see below), has been developed which allows closure of the long saphenous vein from within, avoiding the need for large cuts or stripping. We are pleased to announce that The New Victoria Hospital is a designated centre for VNUS closure.

For further information regarding VNUS closure or treatment of varicose, thread and flare veins please contact The New Victoria Hospital .
