Simon Horgan FRCS FRCOphth is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Kingston Hospital, St George’s Hospital, Tooting, and Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.
He qualified from London University in 1986 and received his ophthalmology training at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. Mr Horgan specialises in retinal conditions, diabetic eye disease, cataracts, use of multifocal implant lenses, astigmatic corrections and general ophthalmology.
He is one of the leading ophthalmic experts in the South East for treatments in macular degeneration, including Lucentis and Avastin therapies. He is the lead clinician at the Royal Eye Unit, Kingston Hospital and has particular research interest in retinal disease.
Mr Horgan consults privately at The London Eye Diagnostic Centre, Harley Street London, The New Victoria Hospital, Kingston and operates at The New Victoria Hospital and Parkside Hospital, Wimbledon.

I am currently Lead Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, at “The Practice” Surbiton Community Hospital, also Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon based part-time at the Pennine Acute NHS Trust. Previous posts include full time Consultant Ophthalmologist at Kingston Eye Hospital.
Published in numerous journals and presented at international meetings on various topics including visual fields, ocular ischemia and neo-vascularisation, solar retinopathy, orbital injury and corneal graft. I have also designed a number of ophthalmic instruments.
I have performed cataract operations in under developed countries.

Mr. Kafil-Hussain had a broad-based training in centres of excellence in Ophthalmology, including Oxford, London and Dublin since 1990. After receiving his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training from the Royal College of Ophthalmologist, he was appointed as Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Ashford & St. Peter's Hospital, Surrey and West Middlesex University Hospital, London.
He has written clinical articles in numerous respected Ophthalmology journals and presented at some of the world's most prestigious conferences in UK, USA, Ireland, France, Germany and Spain. He has extensive experience in all aspects of ophthalmic surgery including cataract surgery, intraocular lens implantation, children eye diseases, squint and refractive surgery.

Mr Hooman Sherafat is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Royal Eye Unit at Kingston Hospital NHS Trust. He qualified from St.George's Hospital Medical School, London, in 1992.He has a general interest in all areas of ophthalmology, in particular cataract surgery and has a special interest in oculoplastic surgery also referred to as ophthalmic plastics, reconstructive and lacrimal surgery, a branch of ophthalmology, which deals with all aspects of medical, surgical and aesthetic disorders of eyelids and tear drainage apparatus (i.e. watery eyes).
Prior to undertaking his higher specialist training, he embarked on 2 years of clinical research at Bristol Eye Hospital and subsequently returned to London to complete his higher specialist training in ophthalmology, which included training in centres such as Guys and St.Thomas' Hospital and the world-renowned Moorfield's Eye Hospital. In July 1995, Mr Sherafat completed a further 12 month Fellowship in Oculoplastic surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Mr Sherafat has a keen interest in dealing with all fields of oculoplastic pathology, such as lid malpositions, periocular tumours and both surgical and non-surgical periocular rejuvenation.
Mr Sherafat is Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists of the United Kingdom, the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS), the American Academy of Ophthalmology and an Executive of the Association of Ophthalmologists and has presented in national and international academic meetings.
