Marios Papadopoulos is a Consultant Neurosurgeon practicing at St. George’s, New Victoria, Parkside and Shirley Oaks hospitals. He qualified from the Universities of Cambridge [BA 1990, MD 1997] and Oxford [BM BCh 1993] and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Surgical Neurology [FRCS 1998, FRCS(SN) 2002].
He trained at Atkinson Morley Hospital, Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre and The University of California at San Francisco. Mr. Papadopoulos is a member of the General Medical Council, British Medical Association, Society of British Neurological Surgeons, and a partner of the Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board. His clinical interests include general neurosurgery, complex spine, neuro-oncology and vascular neurosurgery.
He published several research papers on the role of aquaporin water channel proteins in brain and spinal cord swelling.
